Free Form Style Serving Board- Solid Walnut

Bring a touch of natural beauty to your home with this beautiful board. Lovingly hand shaped.

Because no two trees are alike, every board has its own distinct character. You might notice variations in tone, figure, or grain pattern; that's part of what makes them truly one of a kind. Over time, the wood's colour may deepen or mellow slightly, as it continues to age naturally, adding even more charm to your board.

Protected with food safe Odie's Oil products for durability and beauty, and a natural feel to the touch.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Wipe clean with a damp soapy cloth as needed (it's a good idea to clean both sides, rather than just one), rinse, and DRY IMMEDIATELY. Avoid soaking or placing in a dishwasher, as this will surely damage or warp your board.
  • Allow board to air dry fully after cleaning, and store UPRIGHT, not flat, to allow air flow to both sides.
  • Keep out of direct sunlight or extreme heat to prevent fading and/or warping.
  • To refresh the finish on occasion (don't overdo it), lightly rub a tiny amount of food-safe oil or board butter and buff thoroughly with a soft cloth
  • With proper care, your board should last for years and continue to develop a rich, natural patina

SIZE:

This face grain board measures 394mm x 161mm x 21mm at its longest/widest areas

ABOUT THIS BOARD:

Face grain boards are best as serving boards, charcuterie trays, or fruits and cheeses. While you CAN cut on them, the grain is oriented in such a way that it may dull your knives quickly, and cutting on face grain should really be kept to a minimum, or with blunted knives like cheese knives. If you're wanted to do any prep work or more serious cutting, I'd recommend an edge grain board, or even better, an end grain board.. the latter of which is truly the best for daily use.
